Let me wish each and everyone of you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
What a wonderful time of the year! Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. And aren’t you thankful that He came. Aren’t you thankful that God had a plan to bring us back to Him?
On this very special day, I just want to take a few moments to share with you a few scriptures from the Word.
Luke 2:10-11 - “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
I know we hear those scriptures quoted a lot this time of the year. But today I want you to mediate on those words. Think about them. Think about the impact that they have had on humanity. Think about how they have impacted you.
“… I bring to you good tidings of great joy…” Jesus, the long awaited Messiah, has come to earth.
“… which shall be to all people…” The message of hope and love and salvation is for ALL people, not just a few. It’s for everybody.
“… a Saviour which is Christ the Lord.” The Anointed One and His anointing were here. The Word had become flesh and was dwelling among us. And, He is still alive today.
Today as you spend time with your family and friends or if you spend the day alone, think about why we celebrate this day. Think about what it REALLY means. Experience the joy that the angel proclaimed. Experience the love and peace that Jesus brings. And then share the love of Jesus that has been shed abroad in your heart.
Share the good tidings of great joy. Share it to all people. Tell them about the Saviour which is Christ the Lord.
